The United Methodist Congregation placed roots in Burlington, Iowa in 1834. In April 2007, the church fell victim to arson. After much planning, the congregation voted to rebuild the fire-damaged building. The original Hotel Orrington opened in 1923 in the bustling suburb of Evanston, Illinois. In 1994 the Orrington closed to prepare for a $34 million renovation project, aimed at drawing business guests, conference events and visitors to nearby Northwestern University. The renovation called for a 19,000 sq. ft. conference center, 12,000 sq. ft. penthouse and additional improvements. The Cannon Valley Veterinary Clinic has served the Northfield, Minnesota area since 1981. They recently expanded their pet clinic/boarding area and two subsidiary companies; Vet Provisions and Aurora Pharmaceuticals. The new additions added a 62,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility behind the existing clinic in addition to a 5,000 sq. ft. increase in the clinic reception area, exam rooms and doctors' offices.
